Macronutrients

When people get into dieting and they start seeing results, they will oftentimes become very inspired to continue deeper on their path to losing weight or leaning out (or whatever their goal may be). Diet can be further broken down into macronutrients. Some people have a misconception that calories are the only thing that matter when going on a diet. However, people will then starve themselves to try to burn off any unwanted body fat. All this does is place people in a “survival mode” where their body thinks they are starving so it will try to hold onto any food it gets as stored body fat in order to keep them alive. Instead, macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats) can be manipulated to get the results they want. They will vary according to your goal, but they should always be balanced. It is never a good idea to completely cut out one of these three macronutrients as our body requires all three of them to thrive. Do not cut calories or remove carbs from your diet, but rather, enjoy a balanced proportion of all three of the essential macronutrients.
