TRAINING AS A MALE VS AS A FEMALE

When it comes to the fitness community, and working out in general, there is a common misconception going around that if a female decides to partake in working out via lifting weights, then they will become bulky and will begin to take on male characteristics. This is the opposite of the truth, however.

People already understand that males can train by lifting weights to increase their muscle capacity as well as put on muscle mass to their frame. As a natural lifter, females can engage in the exact same training style as a male and they will yield the same benefits of training, but with different physical results. Specifically, they will increase their workload, tone their muscles, improve their posture and more. Males will be granted those same benefits, they they will noticeably put on more size and strength simply due to the additional testosterone a typical male has in comparison to a typical female. This, it is still important for females to lift weights too. People have the wrong idea that they will become bulky or start taking on a masculine appearance. This is untrue and means that males and females can train together in a very similar fashion but yield results unique according to their hormones, their genetic makeup as well as their individual diet and training style.
